A pre-release to exercise the release pipeline end to end — build, upload, changelog extraction, updater registration and the post-registration verification — with the guards added since 2.4.2 live. Contains no application changes. Everything on 2.x since 2.4.2 is release tooling, and the changelog entry says so, since insider-channel installs will be offered it.
